Gaver's Sealing

We had the opportunity to have Gavin sealed into our eternal family the weekend before Thanksgiving. It ended up being the first snow storm of the year and we are so grateful that our entire family trekked into Logan to share this AMAZING experience with us regardless. It was an emotional weekend and I'm so grateful to be a part of this gospel and to have our children sealed to us forever.

Brynnlie sings "I Love to See the Temple" quite a bit and she was excited to go into the temple with her brother. Both Grandmas helped get the kids dressed in the nursery and played with them as they waited. Brynn and Gavin were amazing during the sealing (the chandelier gets em every time). Afterward, when our family & friends came to give us a hug, Brynn REALLY hammed it up and was making us all laugh.

Some of our family left to get ready for the dinner but here is a pic of the rest of us.

We are so glad that Gavin's birthmom and her family could also share this special time with us. They have been incredibly gracious and kind through the entire adoption experience and we are eternally grateful for each of them. Rachael has a strength and courage about her that we look up to. It was fun having her & her oldest brother spend the night with us so that they could attend Gavin's blessing the next day.

The snow was coming down pretty hard but it was the perfect time of night to take pictures and we got some good ones! (a couple of the temple workers told us that we probably shouldn't take our kids out in the cold but we figured the adoption was final so we can freeze them all we want now. ;) hahaha)

It was such a magical evening & we will never forget it. We are so incredibly blessed!

Legal

We are legal! Everything went well at court and the judge ordered that our adoption be final. YEAH!!!

The kids before we left for court

And our family after the legalities...

We LOVE adoption!

6 Months!

The older I get, the faster time seems to speed by... Does anybody else feel like they are in a time warp? I swear it was last month that we brought our little guy home from the hospital. Has it really been 6 months? I need to pinch myself more often... wake me up from this LaLa Land I live in. In all truth, I've been on Cloud 9 since this little man of ours came into our lives. I felt so blessed before he was born with our amazing Brynnlie & didn't think it possible that the blessings & love could be DOUBLED! We have had such an indescribable time with the two of them. They are each so unique and so sweet.

ANyhow, this post wasn't supposed to be so sentimental... I'm just feeling that way a LOT lately with our upcoming events (will be sure to post all about it in a couple of weeks!)

Just wanted to post our son's stats for his 6 month well check. He's growin' like a weed.

Weight: 15.3 lbs - 13th % (at least a lb. of that is in his double chin ;))
Height: 26.5 inches - 53rd % (Yeah Buddy!)

So there it is... and super duper healthy to beat! Of course we aren't able to get enough of him! We've gotta munch on him at least 49,386 times a day :).
