Bugs & Babies

We love this season with the beautiful flowers & bright colors popping up everywhere. Brynnlie found out this year that along with flowers, there are also LOTS of different bugs to play with. She brought me one in the house the other day that scared me so bad that I jumped (and I am not a pansy when it comes to bugs). We've since had lessons on ONLY picking up lady bugs and potato bugs and she's been pretty good about it (except for the occasional handful of ants).

Speaking of little bugs... I have fallen for this little bug so hard that I can't see straight. I can't get enough of his smell, the feel of his cheeks, his wrinkled little baby lips, his tiny fingers & toes, and his snuggles in the middle of the night. From head to toe, I am in heaven with this sweet boy! Where is the PAUSE BUTTON? He is growing too fast!

I'm Free!

Our Brynners turned 3 this month! I asked her what she wanted for her birthday and she immediately said, "Cupcakes, Cousins, and Balloons!" To which I said, "Now that we can do!" (I'm sure I'll be remembering this birthday fondly when she is 16 ;))

Brynn had an absolute blast on her birthday thanks to our awesome family! Thank you guys for being so supportive -- Her birthday would have been very dull without you :). My parent's came up for the day and we had dinner with them and Chris, Eli, and Sophi. The rest of our gang showed up at 6 for cupcakes, ice cream, and root-beer and we partied the night away. The cousins enjoyed Brynn's new trampoline & I'm pretty sure they all slept well after that much jumping :).

It's really hard for me to put Brynners into words. For those of you who know her, you understand. This daughter of ours is so dynamic and intelligent and just makes our lives sparkle. She is very energetic, spontaneous, is full of endless love-hugs-kisses, enjoys looking for ways to help out, has a great sense of humor, is very friendly, incredibly smart, happy, patient, hilarious, and remembers everyone's name including the names of all of the dogs she's ever met. She is truly the most wonderful blessing & we are eternally grateful for her. After Gavin was born my mom took Brynn for several days and I just about croaked without her energy & excitement in our home. She is truly amazing! We couldn't imagine loving her any more than we do! We LOVE you baby!

p.s. - she already knows how to do a FLIP on her new trampoline... no joke! You gotta come see this if you haven't already :).

p.s.s. - don't tell her doctor.
